Crypto Prop Firm Payouts: Speed, Minimums, Chains and Hidden Rules
Updated · 2 min read
Most crypto prop firms pay 80% of funded-account profit (90% or more with add-ons), in USDC or USDT to your wallet or by bank transfer. Payouts range from instant on-chain settlement (Hypernova, HyperPNL) to on-demand within 24 hours (Breakout, Propr, Carrot) to fixed cycles of 14–30 days (Upscale, Crypto Fund Trader, Hyperscaled). The detail most traders miss: every payout changes your account's drawdown floor, and each firm does it differently.
- You must usually close all positions to request a payout; trading may be locked while it's pending.
- Minimums range from $20 (Propr) to $100 (Carrot, MyFundedPerps) to 1% of account size.
- Rails: USDC on Ethereum (Breakout), USDC on Arbitrum (Carrot, Hypernova), USDT ERC-20 (SizeProp), USDT on TON/Base/BSC (Upscale), Rise (MyFundedPerps).
- After a payout, the floor may stay, drop, reset or lock at the starting balance. Know which before withdrawing everything.

What a payout does to your drawdown
| Firm | After a payout |
|---|---|
| Propr | Balance resets to the original funded amount; limits reset with it |
| MyFundedPerps | Max-loss floor locks permanently at the starting balance on the first withdrawal |
| Klein (instant) | Trailing drawdown resets to 4% below balance and keeps trailing |
| Upscale | New iteration: post-payout balance becomes the new starting balance; max drawdown recalculated |
| Vanta | A payout never reduces equity or moves any breach threshold |
| Carrot Funding | Trading paused while processing; limits reset after |
Why the MyFundedPerps-style lock matters
- $100K account, 6% static drawdown → floor $94,000.
- You make $4,000 and withdraw it all (gross $4,000 → $3,200 to you at 80/20).
- Floor locks at $100,000 and balance is back to $100,000 → zero buffer.
- Any losing trade breaches. Leave profit in the account as a cushion.
Rules that block payouts
- Consistency / best-day rules: Carrot (1-phase) 50%, Klein 45%/30%, Upscale Turbo 30%. See consistency rules.
- Minimum profit days: Upscale needs 5 days with ≥0.5% balance change; Klein Instant Pro needs 3 days ≥0.5% and 4% total profit.
- Withdrawal caps: Upscale caps each period at 15–50% of starting balance depending on size.
- Open positions: nearly every firm requires a flat account to request a payout.
- KYC: approved identity check before the first payout at most firms.
